Leadership: Mary Kate O’Connell, Artistic/Executive Director/Producer
O'Connell & Company was founded in 1995 by Buffalo award-winning actress Mary Kate O'Connell. The Company was in residence at its own theatre, the Cabaret in the Square in Snyder, N.Y., until June 2008. During this time, O'Connell & Company grew into one of WNY's most respected resident theatres. Performances included: "Baby", "Nunsense", "Closer Than Ever", "Passion", "We're Still Hot", "Wild Women Don't Get the Blues", "Musical of Musicals-The Musical", "Buffalo ZINGS", and the wonderfully popular O'Connell & Company original, "DIVA by DIVA: A Celebration of Women!" which is now in its 10th year.
In June 2009, O'Connell & Company Productions announced an innovative arts partnership with Erie Community College North Campus in Williamsville, NY that will expand performing arts opportunities for both the WNY community and the growing ECC community. Beginning with the 2009-2010 Season, O'Connell & Company will produce a full season of plays, musicals and special events on the ECC North campus, including its weekly performances of "DIVA by DIVA: A Celebration of Women!". All performances will be held in the Gleasner Hall Auditorium on Youngs Rd., between Main St. and Wehrle Dr.
