For the 7th installment of our annual ‘Subversive Youth Series’, this chilling tale offers a bitter condemnation of capitialism as it looks back on the Early Twentieth Century struggle of young women factory workers who found themselves in a desperate struggle for justice when they learned that the radium-based paints they worked with were steadily killing them. Based on the amazingly true events, this story brings issues of class, gender, workplace safety, and unionization together into a remarkably empowering story that should never be forgotten.
